Trades:

Corrado, Bibeau, Kapanen PIT's 1st Rd. for Murray, Cole and 4th Rd.
-Toronto may be able to take advantage of the expansion draft and be able to pry Murray from PIT. This depends on if they can't trade Fleury

Lupul, Bozak for Wisniewski and CAR 3rd Rd.
-Basically self explanatory

Leivo and 5th Rd. for Bickell and a 2nd Rd.
-Salary dump for CHI and a nice pick in return for TOR

Nice work. I just wonder whether the Pens would part with Murray at all at this point. They might be more inclined to just get rid of Fleury for pennies on the dollar and save the cap room.

I was thinking the same thing. PIT and TB are in the same boat with their goalies. I went with Murray because I think he will be a very good starter at the right age for Toronto's rebuild. Realistically I think Fleury will be the one gone.

Vesey is only going to sign if he plays top 6 minutes and that third line is not experienced. Soshkniov and Hyman don't play along with the fact Carrik is basically a lock on D for next season.

Good points. Meant to put Vesey in on 2nd line and Michalek on 3rd with everyone else swapping in and out as need be or put Brown in the minors until injury. Lines can be played with

No chance Pittsburg moves Murray (especially for a package includin Kapanian which they already didn't want thus why they traded him in the first place).
Also let's simplify that CAR trade. Lupol for Wisneiwski. Bad contract for bad contract but leafs need D more and CAR needs a forward more. If you need to move Bozak elsewhere for cap purposes. You have plenty of other options

I think Fluery would get traded to you for less than Murray would. Murray is cheap and Pittsburgh needs to unload CAP at this point. I think they would part with Fleury before Murray.

If the Pens really wanted to get cap space, they would trade Fleury. But there aren't many teams with cap space that could take him, without giving Pittsburg moneyin return. So maybe the Leafs, or Canes might be able to get Fleury really cheap. If JVR was traded, that would sure make it more enticing for Vesey to come to Toronto. Hey, Fleury for JVR.
