Description
Tampa has a really good team offence, defence and a goalie they’re running in cap problems and that’s because of their middle six forward group.

I’m trying to have the first two lines scoring, with the third line being a two way line, people who have talent on both ends and are cheap and the fourth line will be speed and defence.

I know most these players have NMC or M-NTC but I’m going to try and trade them to teams who could use them and teams that they’d also be interested in.

Points contract: 10 million for 8 years. He could get 11 if he went to any other team but this is where he started and there’s no tax which will help bring the cost down.

Tried to make the trades even but I’m not 100% on these players values as I am a rangers fan but I think they’re somewhat close, I think all these teams wouldn’t mind taking these players and I don’t think I over charged them.

I might have went a little overboard on the trades but I really do think Tampa needs to change up there bottom nine forwards. All them got paid way too much and haven’t really lived up to the 5-5.5 mill they’re getting but are still good players. They’re all not the greatest defensively which is why I think it hurt them in the playoffs and is the reason why I got strome and vesey as well as martnook.

With the top 6:
Duclair is only 23 and you can’t say the skill isn’t there. With the right coach working with him they can change his perspective on things and no matter what you are gonna play good with stammer and kuch so I think his skill will show here.

Got point eberle and Kapenan on a line. Point and kap are super fast and eberle really stepped on in the playoffs I think and this line I think would be great. Toronto needs cap relief and getting some younger players who are cheap but are ready to play on the third line will help.

Defence I’m un sure of how ready foote is I think he should prob go to ahl for a bit but playing the year with mcdonagh could also be a smart option.

Take it easy on me in the comments I just tried to completely rebuild the bottom 9 and get rid of some cap and I am not a Tampa fan. Thanks

I like some of these moves, but there's two things I wouldn't do.

1. As you said in the description, you moved players with NTC to a team that they might want to play in...I'm pretty sure Johnson is not waiving his NTC for OTT.

2. I wouldn't move Cirelli if I were you, he was one of the best players of TB in the playoffs. I don't see why they should spend so much on Kapanen when they technically could just offer sheet him. As long as the cost is $4M, he'll cost only a 2nd, and it's going to be unlikely that TOR can match considering that Marner's rumored to be after Matthews money,

Ahh I like your second point lots thank you. And when I was doing this and doing research I couldn’t find a real good deal with Johnson and ended up doing it with Ottawa but you’re totally right he wouldn’t god there my bad.

Well I'm a DAL fan and we could have use for Johnson actually. There's one team for you that could be a potential trading partner.

That's the plan lol.

And let's just say we have enough cap space to sign Panarin, for example. So money is not really an issue.

In their current state, I agree. That comment was based on how the OP has created the team and if that were reality they could do it.
