Agreed, but these are ballpark numbers and that has him at only 6 years. I'm not sure where Laine, Conner or Trouba will come in but they all will be high.

Trouba only on a 1 year deal at most, and a little cheaper I’m guessing, and Connor and laine probably either bigger numbers and more term or less term and smaller numbers, then rest looks solid, but I could see a trouba trade to get them back in first and a d prospect of some sort

For laine or Connor, I could see a deal to get them to a year or two before free agency or a max deal, probably both to a year or two before free agency, so they will have a window to deal either before they walk for nothing, end of the day they are still a small market team so they have to pick there window then retool or rebuild

The fear for any team is being offer sheeted. It drives even the one or two year bridge deals up.

The way Winnipeg drafts, I feel they are not as scared of offer sheets, in saying that I think they seem to love there university of Michigan players, and my belief is they will go closer to home when they have the choice, so there term starts at getting them to there ufas years, trouba 1 year away so he’s trade bait and Connor is 3 or 4 years away so a deal to get him close 5.5 to 7.5 somewhere and the hope has to be laine falls in love with Winnipeg and he finds a 6/8 year deal at 9 to 11 or same 3/4 year deal at the 6 to 8 million

Trouba is gone, He made it pretty clear at his season ending presser. That it's time to move on.

Kyle Connor is not worth 7.5 mil.

Andrew Copp is worth at least double what you have him making.

Joe Morrow is a fringe NHL defensemen at best and there’s absolutely no way he gets 3 years at 1.5 million.

Trouba will be traded.
