Actually, Lucic and Okposo have the same term and nearly the same cap hit. Over the last 3 years Okposo has more pts 118 v 104 and more goals 48 v 39. At the end of 2016-2017 season, Okposo was recovering from a concussion and suffered critical side effects from the treatment which impacted his play the balance of that season and the next which resulted in him playing in only 219 games v Lucic's 246 games. Over that same period Okposo averaged 2.0 pts/60 min while Lucic averaged only 1.7pts/60 min. I am providing this not to convince you that this is a good trade only to point out that Kyle would be a better performer than Milan

IDT buffalo would retain.. with Okposo's deal running another 4 seasons, they will have to worry about resigning multiple RFAs including Dahlin. Doubt they'd want to still have 2-3m of Okposo on the books still. And really with his concussion issues that you mention (including one sustained at the hands of DeAngelo), why would the rangers want 4 more years of a player that actually may never come back to the sport due to concussion issues (he's had multiple through the years)

I agree. My long comment was only meant to contrast Okposo and Lucic. I think Okposo playing with a better center man could become an asset, but I am not the GM nor the HC so I am most likely in error.
