Description
3-WAY 3-TEAM TRADE BREAKDOWN :

PENS GET :
RW/C- V. Trocheck $4.75m
C- Y. Trenin $730,
NSH- 19' 3rd Rdr (FLO)
FLO- 19' 6th Rdr (FLO)

NASHVILLE GET :
RW- P. Kessel $6.8m
C- J. Ang $745,

FLORIDA GET :
LW/C- M. Granlund $5.75m
LW- P.Hallander $775,
C- F. Gaudreau $666,

3-Team Trade : (thinking)
PIT- Bring Home the Pittsburgh Kid after a Down / Injury filled year, Losing Kessel will hurt bc he is so productive but
its time for change and new blood.
NASH- Needs a playoff star to get them over the hump, Phil is that guy
FLO- get a star in Granlund to add to the F.A. there about to bring in but with only 1 yr left on deal, get a great prospect
in Hallander, and a young NHLer in Gaudreau.

OTHER TRADES : (thinking)

PIT / OTT -
Must do here, Priority #1- Get rid of JJ

PIT / MIN -
- I love Fiala with his speed and non-stop work effort PLUS his skill. He makes a perfect fit on Geno's LW
or on Sid's RW. He had a down year but IMO, his Upside is crazy good.
- MIN gets a very good Dman that had a good year till he got injured but is only 24 and his best hockey is in font of him still PLUS
his rings and experience helps too. ZAR is a good young winger that can be physical and a good net front guy, hate to give up on
him but Fiala is worth it.

PIT / DAL -
- Ive wanted Faksa for yrs now and with the emergence of Hintz / Dickinson , having Hanzal healthy (next yr) , and Dellandrea on the way
It makes this work bc Horny72 would give DAL a great Right -handed top 6 net front guy.
Thought of trade -
Horny, Blandisi for Faksa
4th rdr & Birks for Honka
- Honka is a 1st Rd flop who needs a change & maybe the D-Man whisper (Gonch) can help him?

FREE AGENT SIGNINGS :
- LHD- A. Edler - 1yr @ $5m - Top pairing of Edler / Tanger gives Pens 2 - #1 Dmen and Tanger a new steady LHD to work with that has
been around and could be a perfect change for him.
Also lets Dumo to get paired with Schultzy and giving Pens as good as of a Top 4 in the NHL.

- RW- N. Acciari - 2yrs @ $1.5m per - Gives Pens a wrecking ball type player on 4th line that can also play a smart game and also a good
PK guy. Also having options of Simon / Acciari / Kuhnhackl / Lindberg / Wilson(WBS) as 4th line options make us very deep.
Plus having - LWers - Bjorkqvist / Bellerive C's - Trenin / Palve / Pavlchev (hopefully) RW- Angello - All on the way

Trocheck has been a consistent 50 point player with one season eclipsing 70+ points. Kessel on the other hand has been a consistent 70+ point player with a couple seasons only hitting around 60 points. While I do like Trocheck, I’m nervous that his 70+ point campaign may be an outlier, and he’s more of a 50-60 point kind of player.

The emergence of Hintz and Dickinson don't have much, if any, impact on Faksa's place in Dallas' lineup. Both Dickinson and Hintz are where they are to primarily be scorers. Their game is completely different than Faksa's. Radek Faksa has been one of the best forwards during their series with Nashville because of his ability to completely shut down opposing top lines. He's a 30-40 point guy, but his ability to completely shutdown opposing top lines is elite. Add to that the fact that he is a top-notch penalty killer and faceoff man, and he is the perfect 3C for Dallas, regardless of players like Hintz, Dickinson, or Dellandrea. I also wouldn't count on Hanzal being healthy. There's a very real possibility he never plays again, due to his back injuries.

With the emergence of Hintz and Dickinson, it does limit the need Dallas would have for a guy like Hornqvist though. Between Radulov, Zuccarello, and a Dickinson that can play on the RW side, I don't see Dallas trading their best defensive forward for a top-6 RW that they don't really need right now, and a couple of career minor league players.

Im just thinking of dif trades to get younger forwards around 87 and 71.. I love 81 and its gona hurt to trade him but I think we all kno its gona happen and Bjugstad will take his spot .... BUT I think Trocheck would explode on Sids RW bc he plays a strait line speed game, will go to dirty areas like Horny but more skilled.

Dallas would do that in a heartbeat, but it would be a significant overpayment on the part of Pittsburgh. Honka is 9th or 10th on the Stars depth chart right now, and he's really played himself out of Dallas. He may get an NHL shot elsewhere, but his value is pretty negligible right now

And for the record, I think that Dallas COULD move him, but a young, top-4 RHD (or potential top-4 RHD) would have to be coming the other way. A Faksa deal with Pittsburgh would likely involve someone with size that could play Faksa's 3rd line checking role and Calen Addision.

Think something along the lines of:

    Dallas Stars
    Nick Bjugstad
    Calen Addison

    Pittsburgh Penguins
    Radek Faksa

Well rounded roster, but the lack of high end scoring without Phil is troublesome.
