Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Trades: TBL; they lose Callahan’s contract frees up close to 6 million with one more trade of a 5mill+ contract they can afford point and a couple other roster players and they just switch theirs first and second round pick, no brainer here.

Florida: Florida has tippet, Borgstrom, Heponiemi all coming up soon with Barkov and Trocheck if they add Kreider a speedy strong player they can easily have a good young top 6 forward core and it allows Florida to be creative with the lines. Also Kreider will likely sign there, because this would push them to be a playoff team and there’s no tax there which would intrigue Kreider. Florida loses their first and a defensive prospect. They’re always fighting for a wild card spot and they have tons of good forward prospects and a few good defensive prospects they don’t need more they just need time.

EDM: Puljujärvi needs a change everyone seems to want him gone so with the trade shattenkirk goes to Edmonton with 2.6 million retained and they lose gagners contract and get a c level prospect out of it as well. This is assuming shattenkirk has oilers as one of his m-ntc. (Which May not be the case)

Carolina: Second rounder for namestikov with 2 million retained. They’re so close in the series rn a third liner that can score a bit and defend good could help them rn. He could play well with Svechnikov or someone so kind of a minor trade.

Colorado: Third rounder for Vesey and a 6th. This is just depth and lower tier picks.

VGK: Reaves and a second for two lower picks: they clear 3 million by doing this they’re at a win now stage it gives them cap and they only lose a second rounder but get back two later picks.

CBJ: they have a great top 3 defence rn and poink could make it a great top 4. Jones, Werenski, Murray, pionk. They also add a 3rd line versitile player who can play both wings and centre and play with anyone who has been very good this year. CBJ although has no picks this year they get rid of they’re first rounder next year for a young defence and a 26 year old forward who has been picking it up also with 50% retained. (This is probably the least likely trade to happen, but they’re first will probably be late anyways)


Montreal: they get two firsts in mid 20s for a early teens pick, rangers get a player of their choice and montreal g two players. In the 11-24 area players are similar and the drop off isn’t major.

Winnipeg’s: Harley
Our second rounder: Pavel Dorofeyev
Other second and third rounders: Picked based on high ceiling and target defence.(Might trade a second and a third to get an early second)

Next year: three first rounders with a good draft class next year. Lots of salary are going to be gone like strome and namestkov. (3.5 million based on trades) The year after is the year we are going to have to sign our young guys and that’s when staal, smith, shattenkirk, and lundqvist contracts are done (over 22 million) so we will have more than enough cap space and assuming cap space will slowly go up.
