Arizona doesn't have the players to get Nylander. The ask would start with Chychrun, which Arizona would say no to. No one else on your roster fits the need or value for Nylander. Unless you wanted to move OEL or Keller, which I doubt. But Toronto doesn't need a replacement winger or a prospect. They need a right handed d-man between the ages of 21 and 25 for Nylander

EDIT: Too lazy to fix the whole trade, but the pick that Arizona sends has to 2020 3rd rounder, as the trade would have to happen after the 2019 draft (Nylander bonus paid July 2nd, which Arizona would want to avoid)

Chychrun makes less than Nylander.. if a deal involving Nylander for Chychrun was made it saves Toronto cap. They cold easily work out the rest. But even Chychrun isn't the greatest target, needs to be right handed. Too many lefites on Toronto's roster

You're right, but saving pennies isn't Toronto's motive. They need to move large amounts of money off the books to be able to sign Marner, Kapanen, Johnsson, etc. Not saying this is the right deal, but likely that the return for Nylander/Kapanen/whoever they trade is likely to not include a top tier player that can contribute now, more likely a first rounder and a couple prospects like this deal has.
