I'm hoping for Cozens or Turcotte, although Podkolzin is a possibility; for one thing, it would certainly add some justification for the Kovalchuk signing.

I think we need a center more than anything else, and we're unlikely to get another good chance to get a blue chip center prospect again. At least, I'm hoping we don't.

I think vilardi kempa thomas JAD and the rest of kopitar is fine

Vilardi was scouts' 4th ranked prospect in the 2017 draft so he could be really good along with Kopi and Kempe. Still yet to see though. Id say LW and D are the weakest right now, but the Kings' head scout said they're picking the best possible player at the time, not by positional need.

We have no assurance that Vilardi is ever going to play a game in the NHL and no guarantee that Thomas or Anderson-Dolan will ever be more than #3 centers. And I'm not sold on Kempe being a #2 center, either.

I think that the opportunity to have a Sean Monahan-type center is too good to pass up. Remember where Zach Bogosian was picked.
