Carolina won't be getting a second for Fox. Third round at the most, but even that might be too high. Carolina has no leverage. Will probably end up losing him for nothing.

Unless another team (besides the Rangers) really thinks Fox will sign with them, Carolina will get a poor return. Smith to the Leafs is hard with their cap issues but the Rangers still have 8mm in this scenario so you could just keep him for depth. I think to do the Winnepeg deal you might have to sweeten it a little. Maybe make it the Dallas 2nd rd pick. And I'm not sure Namestikov gets you a second but I'd do it for a third. Sounds like a lot of criticism but I think this is an interesting set of moves.
