Ya I thought age would be a factor. Not sure there is a way to upgrade using those two players without getting a player with some kind of downside. Hoffman has had a good year but he isn't worth a ton still due to his fiancé or whatever the story is there and he only has 1 year left. Maatta would really help Florida's defense imo. Hornqvist slots in nicely in there forward corp.

I don't know if I would do that from a pens perspective, also that would be net salary going to florida so if they want to go after pannarin and bob that is an extra couple million on their cap. I think if this type of trade happened it would involve more picks/prospects rather than mainly current players.
