Description
The blue jackets miss the playoffs and so the sens get the 15th OA pick. They draft Victor Soderstrom or Moritz Seider. With 18 OA (from dallas) they draft Ryan Suzuki. With 20 OA (From CAR) they draft Arthur Kaliyev.

If Col would be willing, i would trade all 3 1sts for 1st or 2nd OA if they get it.

Both these trades are bad imo. Carolina would never give a first for us to take Darling if they also had to take Anderson. Also that Dallas trade makes no sense because we don't need another goalie prospect (we actually have a logjam as is) and have no reason to give up Chlapik and Ceci. If you wanna trade Ceci separately, fine, but this just makes no sense

I would think that Andersen is not a cap dump and just needs a re-set. He is still an NHL starter. Good point with the goalie prospects though. I just though that oettinger is the best you could reasonably find right now

Most goalies don't reset at the age of 39

Fair point. Andersen has been good this season though, behind a sens team that bleeds offensive chances. He should be much better with other teams and they will probably recognize that. Either way he is better than 2 more years of Darling. Heck, he is better than darling period. At the TDL I would think he is worth a 2nd or 3rd. Add a large cap dump like Darling and that could easily be a 1st

Stars don't do that trade. With Hanzal possibly never playing again, they'll just keep him on LTIR and not have to worry about his cap hit. And they aren't going to give up their top goalie prospect + a 2019 1st Round Pick for a lesser prospect and a defenseman (which is something Dallas doesn't really NEED right now). Only way a 1st and/or Oettinger is getting moved is if an established top-6 scorer is coming the other way, and honestly...with Zuccarello in the fold and Hintz turning into a top-6 threat, I'm not sure they'd be willing to part with either of these pieces for a top-6 player right now. The trade just doesn't make any sense for Dallas this summer.

I mwan hey if you think so, I'd do it, but I don't think the Sens could give Anderson away if they tried
