The only way you get a player via offer sheet is to offer something significantly above market value. Otherwise 1. The player won't sign and 2. The team will match.

The wings are currently in a position cap-wise where if they wanted Point bad enough, they could offer him 11+ and have a decent chance

Do the rebuild the right way. No reason to jump the gun. Also Karlsson doesn't want to be in Detroit and Point isn't attainable for the Wings, let alone any other team honestly.

Please explain how Tampa could match an 8 mil offer sheet when they only have 6.4 mil in cap space next year with only 16 players signed and they still need to re-sign Vas and sergachev in 2020
