Fletcher is trading/burying guys already to get rid of dead weight on the cap for next year and moving forward. Not sure we want to take more back in Callahan...maybe though he could be a 4th liner and PK guy for us next year. I like the idea here but not sure if that's realistic. I'd say it is a very fair offer, and overpaying is what Tampa would have to do to unload Callahan. Really don't want any part of JT Miller for that price though. We've got enough guys getting paid at forward that we don't need to pay a 3rd liner close to 6 mil

Agree with ^. I am sure TB fans say no way but if I am the Flyers I am insistent on getting Cal Foote. He is exactly what they need being a RHD and would also be expansion draft protected I know that is asking a lot but seeing what Boyle cost any team trading for Simmonds is probably going to have to overpay

Miller is a 3rd liner on Tampa but its because we dont have space in top6 for him. He is capable of playing on 1st line, max 2nd line easily. People dont realize how good he is, cuz he doesnt get much chance in Tampa.



There is no way we would trade Foote for Simmonds. We will get rid of 2-3 dman after this season and Foote is our hope for future on that right D side.
