Obviously, this is quite a ways down the road, and you're banking on Subban turning out to be a legit NHL tender. As well as multiple first rounders panning out, but this would be a fun team to watch.

That said, Josi is as untouchable as they come. He is easily a top 5-8 defenseman in the NHL, has surpassed Weber as their #1 (although he compliments Weber perfectly), and is n a ridiculously cheap contract to top it all off. As unrealistic as it probably is, I'm all for signing Stamkos and dealing Krejci for a stud top 4 defenseman, but I feel you'd need to look elsewhere. Trouba comes to mind as a guy I'd look to deal for with krejci as a main piece going back. Rask won't net you Hall (and I'm sure you'll be told my multiple incoming posters). Not sure the Bruins and Chiarelli will be doing business with each other anytime soon.

I'd make a few minor lineup changes (guys moving around) but the basis of the team is cool. Definitely don't think it's overly realistic, but it's nice to see a mock that the Bruins could have a lot of big time contracts and still have +8.5 million in cap space. Those ELC make a huge difference, as shown.

So why do edmonton need a goalie Talbot just proved with a decent D he is a legit #1. Also, doubt edmonton will retain salary on hall. The Nashville trade will happen if pig learn to fly. The only trade that might work is the Anahiem trade. I could see Stamkos going to Boston but it would happen if the improve their D.

The Rask-Hall trade is definitely interesting. And yeah, u are ballparking Subban to be a starter. But Josi isnt going anywhere. McQuaid is a decent bottom pairing guy so i dont think hes going anywhere either

I think at this point in time Subban will be developed enough to be a starter but not yet elite. we see the goalies fall out of the sky and all of the sudden they are steeling the show.... cough cough matt murray, and maybe a year or two after this one he will be at his peak

Theres something about a goalie in Edmenton that shouldnt make anybody feel good, they all just seem to crumble, granted if Boston needs to throw in a pick or prospet so be it. im just saying im not counting on Talbot holding up. and come on give me a break, Nashville is wet for a player like Krejci. somebody who cap play top line minutes and is a proven force in the playoffs and could help them get further than 1 or 2 rounds. I know the preds wont want to get that much older... enter the 1st. I think the Preds do that.

They won't do it for Josi. He's their stud. They also just moved a young and up-in-coming defenseman, in Jones for a legit #1 center in Ryan Johansen. I don't see them being "wet," for Krejci anymore. Maybe they'd like to add him, but it won't be for Josi.
