This trade suggestion made me laugh out loud, actually laugh out loud.
Burakovsky, Siegenthaler, and Bindulis
for
Panik @50%, Bolland, and Goligoski @50%
There is nothing on the Capitals side of this deal that would really interest Arizona in giving Panik @50% much less Goligoski @50%. What in this deal would make Arizona want to send the Caps Goligoski PLUS pay around $6.5M of his SALARY (not cap) over the next 2.5 seasons?
Burakovsky has very little value. Maybe a 3rd on a good day.
Siegenthaler is a C level prospect. Maybe one of Washington top-10 (not really), but that doesn't mean anything in the big picture... it just means that the Caps prospect pool is thin due to years of President Trophy level draft positions.
Bindulis is more an ECHLer than even an AHLer, worth absolutely nothing. Arizona would probably Washington keep Bindulis as they wouldn't want the additional contract on the roster.
Arizona is going to hold onto Bolland so that his dead space $5.5M cap hit keeps them above the cap floor without costing them much actual salary. Goligoski isn't even going to be discussed by Arizona for that return.
Your end is UFA Panik (with no retention) for RFA Burakovsky and a meh prospect (Siegenthaler). Frankly, I don't think that Arizona does this. Panik is the better player and Burakovsky being a RFA actually potentially hurts Arizona due to Arbitration rights. There is no upside for Arizona. None.
