Slight overpayment on the Carolina and St. Louis trades, to help compensate the retained money we will value next season. Added the Mzarek Sparks swap to help with the actual cash to the Carlolina organization, Zeitzev is basically a cap dump, which is why Bracco is involved. Carolina can still move a D man for another forward ifthey wish.
Don’t really know the value around the NHL for Gards, he’s a 50 point D man and I’m guessing he’s gonna get paid next year.. so he’s gotta be at least somewhat valuable. Brown a 20 goal scorer as a rookie, doesn’t deserve to be on our 4th line, I think they both need a fresh start out of Toronto.
The Blues trade all depends on where they’re at when the deadline hits. They keep winning then we’ll most likely look elsewhere, but upgrading Oz on the right side is priority number one at the TD. Maybe Muzzin for less or someone else that’s available.
Obviously empty out the cupboards here, but I think the Leafs are young and deep enough to make this happen.
Next season, have the D stay with us and see what AM, Kap and Marns sign for and make a decision on Ferland.
Last trade, could be anyone, but upgrade the 4th line C slot like we have the past 2 seasons. I like Boyle so let’s try that again.
