Love the Pujju trade ... could be a steal... id throw dude on Genos wing and see what he had 1st.
- Bennett is a great bottom 6 guy, love his game but he isnt a C... he is strictly a LW
- Ferland deal seems fair but dont see GMJR trading a guy he has wrapped up for next yr too at a nothing cap hit

I really like these deals. The only thing I would like to see trading one of our Left hand shot Dman to Carolina as well and get more help with Right hand shot defensemen. I don't like Jack J playing on the right side when he is a left hand shot. Perhaps something like Maatta for Justin Faulk or T. Van Reimsdyk.

Bennett actually was primarily a center until Calgary signed Derek Ryan and now he primarily plays wing. He actually prefers to play center and that's where he has performed best.
I debated about trying to make a trade for Andrew Copp from Winnnipeg instead of the edmonton deal so that he could fill in at center if bennett didn't work out.

Right now JJ and Pettersson are a good pairing wouldn't change that. Not every d pairing has opposite handed dmen on it.

I really like the trades but I don't think they trade Simon for a rental player as GMJR and the coaching staff love Simon and I personally don't think they would add petrovic as they would put Riikola with Schultz as Pettersson and Johnson have been a solid pair

I know they like him but he's a 4think player when the team is healthy. He's not better than ZAR or Pearson so he's either 4th line or scratched if the pens bring in a LW.
Maatta will play with Schultz not Riikola.

forgot about Maatta and I think he could be traded in the summer, but IMO idk if they trade for Ferland as they tend to want to keep the players they trade for. examples of this would be trading hagelin for Pearson and Cole and Reaves for Brassard

That wouldn't make any sense for Carolina
