I was thinking the same. If dalllas would take that it is for sure worth it. I don’t think it’s far off but Dallas would counter that.

Even with Dallas looking down the barrel of a rebuild and the owner being supremely displeased with Benn.. also that would be 3 top prospects going the other way

Dallas has the same team needs as Colorado. Secondary scoring. Maybe not the best trade partner.


And looking down the barrel of a full rebuild???? They just resigned Seguin and their their D core is awesome. They need to retool a bit on the second and third line. You are aware they are ahead of you in the standings right? All be it by tie breaker.

Yeah I tend to agree. Though they are kinda a bubble team until they can get done second and third line scoring. Honestly, Mascherin, Robertson, L’esperance, Dellandra, and Gurianov should eventually give them the boost that they need. A Duchene or Hayes signing would be nice too. Not a rebuild though. For Colorado, why not wait and see if your Ottawa pick is in the top three? If not, trade it off for something that you need. A fourth or fifth overall pick could get you a ton of help.

Think I'd rather keep the prospects as Colorado are still a bubble team as well, their window is only just opening so I think this trade would be a bad one trying to force it earlier.

Yeah and Faksa puts up okay numbers, if he had a couple decent wingers he could probably be a solid 2nd line center. They seem like they're only a piece or two from being a really good team.
