Think Anaheim has any interest

Description
Anaheim is in a tail spin and GM Murray apparently says Carlyle is safe. They have an excellent goaltender, and a good young D corps. They just can't score (recognizing they did score the other night and gave it up later in the game). They are second last in the league in goals per game.

I'm sure most Leafs fans would prefer Manson to Montour as they want the big crusher, but frankly I suspect Anaheim isn't interested in trading him (I'm not sure they want to trade Montour either).

But they have a good D corps of Montour, Lindholm, Manson, Fowler, so if they are going to trade from a position of strength its there.

I think there is definitely interest from ANA. Not saying they would do it, but it fits both teams’ needs. Logistics would have to be altered to make it work, but I think there would be interest

I think a potential trade partner could be the sens for Mark Stone if theyre looking to trade Montour...ANA adds but that's definitely a piece they could slot in to score goals

Anaheim should be aiming younger than Stone. Stone is an excellent player but he is in his prime and should be acquired by a team ready to strike for a stanley cup. Anaheim needs to aim younger for a guy entering his prime

(Don't take this as suggesting Stone isn't a grade trade target for many teams, just feel like Anaheim isn't it)

Do they have guys with big money on one year deals? Leafs have cap space for this season to eat, just not longer

Only pending ufa that would help with that would be silfverberg but you would have to give up more to add him in

The plot gets more complicated. Would probably have to be a 3 way then because he is a pretty decent player but not what the Leafs need.
wojme a aimé ceci.
