1) not getting Liljeren from Toronto for Tanev. not even a question about that.

2) Gudbranson isn't worth a 3rd, you'd be lucky to get a bad contract and a late round pick outta him.

3) Karlsson won't come back to Canada. Probably stays in San Jose or a team like Vegas or something but there's always something to some reports that come out, and a report came out when Karlsson was in Ottawa that he wouldn't sign with any Canadian teams. Not saying its 100% true, but there's probably something to it.

4) Boeser is good, but won't get $9M over 6 years. He's had 2 and a half years in the league and 6 years only buys out 2 UFA years. He'll probably be more around $7.5M on an 8 year deal

5) you're overhyping Demko. He's played 1 game in the NHL and he got lit up. He's had 1 good season in the AHL and then been about average this year.. that's not worth $2.5M.. he'll be lower than $1.8M even on a bridge deal

1) Toronto is desperate for a solid d-man. Tanev is a defence first player with experience and they need that if they want to make a run.

Toronto says no and Karlsson said he will get what hes worth. He denied 11x8 from Ottawa, and Vancouver is still technically rebuilding. i would say at least 12 if not 13 mil. he is a 80 point DEFENSEMAN. Tavares scores not many more points as a forward and he got 11. EK is worth more than 11
