that's probably not getting you Seguin. Doubt he gets moved, but any deal for him starts with a young, established forward, and a good young dman too.. I'd be more thinking like Konency and 1 of Provorov, Gostisbhere, or Sanheim.. doubt Philly moves Provorov (they'd be stupid to), so probably Konency, Gostisbhere, and a 1st is just the starting price.

Regardless of that, don't be so fast to give up on Patrick. It's his second year in the league give him time to develop like a smart organization would do.

possibly a 60 points center , 2 greats prospects, a little cap dump and a first round pick and we are not trading Konecny or Provorov or Sanheim or Gostisbehere

Quality > Quantity .. Konency is a far better player than Patrick, and your deal has no defensemen involved in it. Dallas' main issue for years has been their defence. If they moved one of their best players, it's gonna have to address their biggest need. & you think teams are only gonna take what you wanna trade? Hell no. They're gonna want the better players and for a guy like Seguin, prospects and projects aren't of value to them. So if you wouldn't be willing to move some of your good, young, established talent, like I said, Dallas would easily pass on your offer and easily find another team that would deal better quality over quantity.

Patrick has barely established himself in the league. a 30 point rookie season and a struggling sophomore season isn't exactly the kind of offence to get in a Seguin return deal. I suggested Konency because he's had a 47 point year already and is on pace for that again this year and that's within his first 3 years in the league. So he'll have the higher offensive upside than Patrick. Like I said again, Dallas would most likely need a defensemen in the deal. & if you're not even willing to deal a prospect like Myers for Seguin, Dallas will laugh and walk away. Many other teams would be able to give up one, plus a young forward to get Seguin. Your offer only fixes your team, not Dallas' who's trading the best player. Stars decline and move Seguin elsewhere. .. Guys that could be moved on d that Dallas would probably take in a deal: Dougie Hamilton, Ryan Ellis, Jacob Trouba, plus the 3 I mentioned from Philly.. so yes, there are teams out there that could offer something more enticing for Seguin
