Not sure if I’m selling Coyle short on the deal, but I believe it makes sense for both sides. Buffalo gets another capable center they desperately need to strengthen up the middle to let Mitts develop more properly and get a solid veteran PKer that has had a knack for secondary scoring in the past. Minnesota gets a young and promising center prospect I’m his first NA season, a high pick, a young defender with some offensive upside, and a lower pick. This deal helps buffalo get better now and for the next couple seasons while Minnesota starts to retool with younger prospects.

Vegas deal could really be any team looking for depth at the deadline. Buffalo has Sobotka and Wilson who can hold down the 4C spot.

The top-6 hinges on whether or not Sheary and Thompson can get it going with their new line mates. If they can, awesome. If not, a top-6 winger will be needed to be brought in in the offseason.
