1) Green to retire as a cap is a nice gesture idea, but he's not worth Bowey and a 1st. He might be worth just the 1st and leave it at that.
2) you're helping Winnipeg out WAY too much. You took on $8.5M in cap just to get Brossiot? He'll never be a starter in the NHL and he's at best a backup if he can actually sustain his play but he's usually pretty inconsistent. You're giving Winnipeg enough to sign probably Kyle Connor and Jacob Trouba for virtually nothing. You'd be smart to at least take Eric Comrie and a pick back if you're gonna take on that much cap room and give them basically $12M (when the cap goes up). Might as well just pay for their cup rings next season too if you're gonna take a deal like this.
3) Not sure you get rid of the Ericsson contract either. It's probably one of the worst in the league as he just can't keep up at all. You'd have to give up a lot more to get rid of it, might as well eat the final year of the deal and it'd be worth saving the assets.
4) Glendening could be a decent fit in Montreal, overpaid though for a 4th line guy. have to retain a bit on him, maybe retain 500K and make him a $1.3M 4th liner and you'd get a taker

Thanks for the info. I do agree with the Jets thing looking at it now. Probably could get something like a 2nd round pick and a meh prospect too. Green I could see getting that much since RHD come at a premium but yeah, a first at least is likely. Nice feedback though.

Bowey is just a real good, young right handed dman.. Washington is gonna need him to build their d core with with all their big contracts. & like I said, if you're gonna go after a goalie prospect and take on cap, Eric Comrie from Winnipeg should be the real target. He's got starter upside but won't get the chance behind Hellebuyck who's locked up long term.

I like the idea of Kulikov to get something from peg but get a couple picks or use it to get trouba at a lower price. I like the concept but idk how many of those deals are realistic

The only team Green wanted to sign for was Detroit, We're not dealing Green and retaining half get real. He's not going to waive after only one season. I'd rather buy out Ericsson then retain half on him. When has Holland ever retained half on a player with one year left? Never and he wont do it now. Ericsson has a 11 team trade list and i don't see Anaheim being on it. And Kulikov is trash no use for him if we're dealing Green.

laugh laugh You say use the cap, Yet you've close to $16 million left with a 23 man roster. So how is this using the cap?

This is for next season (19-20), you don't expect Green to be traded at the TDL of that season? Thought that was the whole point of bringing him back for 2 more seasons. Retaining 50% would not be for the entire season.
