I'll take Ozhiganov all day long over Carrick. Someone had to be waived/traded glad it was Carrick. Leivo, maybe he should have stayed.

Carrick and Gardiner were very good together a couple of years ago. I'm not a fan of the current Gardiner/Zaitsev pairing.
Leivo has a plum gig right now. Don't know if he'd want to come back..

Agreed. There was something that Babs didnt like about Leivos game, or maybe his skills were redundant given how Babcock wants to construct the team. So, he's gone and playing with Petersen a d Boesser. Good for Lievo, vancouver will get something outta him.

That said, the inverse is probably true for Hyman. Babcock likes his skillset and he fits the team's make up. Babs is probably getting more out of Hyman than most teams would. So, we lose on the potential upside of Lievo but won with Hyman realizing his potential with how Babcock is coaching him. The way the cookie crumbles.
