No a Parayko trade needs a return of something really good. He is our current best RHD and in his prime on a great contract.

Echoing this sentiment. Don't think the Blues and Canucks make good partners for a Parayko trade.

I don't get what's wrong with it as Baertschi is better than Fabbri right now. And Goldobin would be the 3rd highest scorer on your team. And Hutton would have the most points on your D core. Goldy and Hutton are both young too.

I tend to think the value is even, and people tend to forget that when Hutton and Parayko were both rookies they were about even. Hutton took a step back, but has mostly recovered this year when he’s finally on an average offensive and defensive team. Parayko took a step forward but has cooled off this year under similar conditions as Hutton. Parayko’s value is higher than Hutton’s, and Goldobin and a high second is plenty to even the score, but the value is different. Parayko plays on the right side, is young, and on a very affordable contract. Now is he elite? Not in my opinion, as elite steps into a category that involves offense, and Parayko isn’t elite offensively. But young, cheap, right shot defensemen are incredibly rare and that’s where Parayko’s value lies. The skill level of the trade is even. But Parayko is an irreplaceable piece. I’d argue that he’s not much better than Edler if at all, but he’s rare. Two other things. He is big. That puts his value up. And STL will want enough talent to offset losing an irreplaceable piece. So basically Parayko isn’t getting traded. You’re not off that much, he’s just untouchable.

Juolevi and a second is the same as Sandin and a first. Not saying that would get it done with TOR, but that is the equivalent.
