Talbot and Elliott are maybe equal but RNH is better than both Simmer and Morin so this is not a fair deal..

Not a chance from Edmontons perspective. We downgrade in goalie big time.
We get a 2nd line RW who is a UFA and on the decline. He has been underpayed his whole career and will be looking for a big deal, right where he seems to be declining. And we get a prospect who I don't know much about, but is not even close to being worth Nuge.

What do you think It would take to even out for Hopkins? A high draft pick or high prospect? Do you have any ideas?

Talbot can be signed in preseason so no need to trade for him.

RNH would cost you for Philly a 1st rounder and middle-6 prospect centerman (Rubtsov) at very least

Oilers aren't looking for a bunch of lesser parts for Nuge. Don't see anything like this ever working out.

Yeah I don’t think the Flyers should move Ghost. I think the Oilers will move Talbot he’s been awful this season has an .895 SV% and he’s lost the starting job to Koskinen. While I don’t think this deal makes the most sense to the Oilers, an Elliott-Talbot swap could work. Also if the right pieces went through simmonds for RNH could work with a pick and a prospect or two.

Tbf, Eliiot does have considerably better stats. But yeah, it's a bad trade overall for Edmonton.

I'm not a big Nurse fan. I'd probably dislike that as the base of a deal.
