I don't think Gardiner would sign for that low and i wouldn't be surprised if someone offers him 7 mill in free agency. Plus, why would you want to keep him, especially for 8 more years?

Other than that, not bad.

I think if he's offered a long term, along with a lot of signing bonuses in a top heavy contract, and the fact he's on a cup contender like the leafs...he might stay. In the late years of that contract when the cap is 100m, this contract won't make a dent even if his numbers go down a little.
