Delia, Perlini, Forsling, and Sikura won't all get that much. You likely have another $1M wrapped up in those players that is unnecessary. Sikura - $975K, Delia - $850K, Forsling - $1.2M, Perlini - $1.2M, are very realistic numbers all on short term bridge deals from 1 to 3 years. Hawks don't need to take on Gardiner at $5.5 for 3 years. They have Mitchell, Boqvist, Chad Krys, and Beaudin all ready next season and the season after. If the Hawks can find 1 solid stay at home defender on a short 1 or 2 year deal, it's worth it but otherwise don't sign anyone. Given your scenario though, you need to move Gus back to the 3rd Left pairing and murphy to the 2nd line Right side. Murphy is a solid 2nd line player. I would forget Gardiner.
Keith - Jokiharju
Gust - Murphy
Forsling - Seabs
Krys, Mitchell, Boqvist (7th guys brought up slowly getting some experience at the NHL level, 9 games a piece not to burn a year of their ELC unless one of them proves they are ready immediately) at which point you trade either Forsling, Gus or Murphy depending on who is ready to be brought up.
