Description

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen lets talk investing in the Future.

MTL has a habit of waiting until players value decreases to move them. i chose to move Petry ,Tatar and Gallagher now before they go UFA next season thereby increasing the return MTL gets .

Landeskog is the type of guy you want replacing Gallagher and i think both would be great fits for their new teams. sending Tatar gives COL a solid wing pair with chemistry and speed to drive the net.

the real upside for MTL in giving up players thriving now is the pick and Greer who will help re-stock our depleted LW (AL,CH and NS are either in the NHL already or wont be so we need new blood)

Petry deal was done to make room for Juulsen and Fleury as they only have a brief window to adjust before Brook comes into the picture

each line top to bottom has secondary faceoff support including Kotkanemi who will be mentored by Landeskog

we're in 2020 not 2012
Reilly's paid what 4th D are getting paid to play top pair

Landeskog > Gallagher and he takes faceoffs / is a leader PERFECT for Kotkanemi's LW

Greer >Tatar he just needs time which creates space for Suzuki/Poehling and that 2nd will come in handy

Petry had to go because we cant move Weber without taking a loss which would be foolish to do for a 31 year old pending UFA .

this is about making room so our youth can thrive not about replacing active point totals 1 for 1 accross the board

you dont watch hockey much do you ?

everyone gets traded you'd have to be high to think otherwise .

i mean even plekanec got traded eventually , subban , pacioretty , galchenyuk, sergachev and the list goes on and on.How anyone paying attention to our rebuild could miss this is beyond me .
