it doesnt matter who your goalie is , what stars you got on offense
if thats your best Defender you're boned 98% of the time

if VAN could pay EK the 12-13m it would take for him to choose VAN over taking 9.5-10.5m to play for a TBL,LAK or SJS

that would make VAN a real threat as with him and your offensive youth core you'll be able to attract better players for less

I definitely agree, but there's one year left of him. Just image this team minus Edler next year. Rid of him, Gudbranson, Sutter and Beagle and plus Miller and Martin.

I don't think the Canucks NEED Karlsson, but I would sure WANT them to sign Karlsson. That would add to the great Swedish players to play for Vancouver too.

You don't need Beegs, You need someone who's such an ass on the ice but it actually makes your team better. So Matt Martin, who pulled his weight in Toronto when protect them young peeps on the ice. Also I actually like Pettersson at the wing with Horvat because it just makes Pettersson's job so much easier. Potential 50 goal season for Pettersson with those two playing all 82 games with each other. Not to mention Boeser on the other wing, who could also score 50 goals.

Nah trust me you want Pettersson on the wing. I understand that making Pettersson a center means Horvat goes to the second line which is great for depth, but honestly Pettersson serves better as an Ovechkin than he does a Crosby. Not comparing Pettersson to either player, but saying that Pettersson is better fit playing the former's position as an elite goal scoring winger than being an all around center, which he has less potential (not no potential) of being.
