Youd have to be the biggest homer out there if you think the difference between Shattenkirk and Jack Johnson is only two 4th rounders. Shattenkirk had a torn MCL last year and he still looks better now than Jack Johnson has looked in the last 5 years.

BUT from a NYR perspective I could see them wanting to get that 6.7m cap hit off the books because he’s clearly playing brutal there and Johnson costs half his cap hit
