Description

Riikola has upside and looks poised for a rookie. Sullivan tends to shy away from playing rookies or players that he isn't familiar with. Sprong for JP is explained in trade. Hags to LAK makes sense for both teams. LAK is struggling because they are not fast enough. The return may need to be raised a bit. Adam Johnson has the speed to fill in for Hags and cant be words offensively than Hagelin. Lines are what I think could kickstart some players. Hornqvist and Rust have both been silent. Playing them with Sid is probably the best option. Moving Guenztel to center isn't ideal but that line is highly skilled and needed a more grinder type of player. LMK in comments what ya think

I've noticed this trade a couple of times on this site so it isn't my idea. Both highly touted prospects that need a change of scenery. I'm sure Edm fans will want more added but I doubt that happens

Riikola has looked fine with limited minutes and deployment. He hasn't proven himself an NHL defenseman, and if it wasn't for a solid showing in the preseason he'd be in the AHL.

Sprong for Puljujarvi does nothing for either team, so I don't see why people keep suggesting it.

Guentzel is not and will never be a center, so using him there for anything other than in-game spot duty is not happening.

Johnson hasn't impressed me in Wilkes-Barre and doesn't have near the top end speed of someone like Rust or Kessel, let alone one of the absolute fastest players in the NHL like Hagelin.

Swapping a RW for a RW couldn't be more pointless. There is not room for Sprong to play higher than the 4th (maybe 3rd some games), so why would there be room for Puljujarvi? The LW situation is horrendous and should be addressed well before adding another skilled RW. Also, Riikola & Maatta pairing sounds like hell to me
