Other side of hunter4321 trade

Description
This represents what the Jet's side of the trade proposed by hunter4321 would look like.

I added a trade to give veterans getting pushed off the Jets roster a chance to play a regular shift elsewhere and what I believe is a high price to get Fowler from the Ducks.

If the right trading partners came along, Grabo, Stafford and Enstrom are all bait. This would allow Petan and Morrissey to get more ice time.

Not a grabo fan. I would rather see Nelson, lee or Strome worked in. It would change what the jets offered back, but at least it would give the jets a player that might fit with the core.

I would also like to see that package offered for Ekholm instead of Fowler.

Grabo is one of the few players that has negative value even with retained salary. In no way should any team pick him up unless they are off loading they're overpaid players also. So making it a straight swap of underachievers. I guess if the team was extremely weak at center and NYI retained literally 50% of his contract, then maybe but personally there equal options available in free agency with less risk.

Trouba for Hamonic is pretty much even as is. They both have certain attributes better than the other so it basically is a wash in terms of value. The rest of the trade is where it makes zero sense. Grabo and a 3rd for Kosmachuk and a 2nd? Kosmachuk is a decent prospect and the 2nd pick is basically a 1st rounder. NYI would be winning this trade hands down IMHO.
