My Leafs Lines After 4 Pre-season Games

Description
Ennis has looked really good. Should be our 3LW if/when Willy signs. Rosen has also been another standout looking like he deserves to make the team, and Oz has been effective enough and liked by Babcock so I think he gets the 3RD job.

Poor leivo.... can we just trade this guy to a team where he can get some ice? I feel horrible the has been so loyal and very dependable on the ice filling in.

I agree.. I actually like Leivo I just think Ennis has outplayed him to earn a spot on this team. I could actually see us starting the year with Johnsson in the press box and Leivo in since I haven't been too impressed with Johnsson so far, but Leivo does always get the short end of the stick it seems. A trade would be great for him. We'd get very little in return but I do want to see him succeed somewhere.

Ennis ( if he will perform and bounce back ) will be hard to re-sign...so i would push him right into 1st or 2nd so at the end of year maybe TML could crop 2nd round pick for him.....hopefully, the idea im preaching here since forever

Why would a cup contending (hopefully) team trade someone for a 2nD round pick?

Would we even get a 2nd for him? It’s doubtful. Not everyone knows him like leafs fans do. He’s been so patient hard working and loyal wish we could repay that. He’s been good on the ice. Maybe taking Johnson’s spot and sending johnsson down is the answer.

Camp somehow show me and Babcock on the same strategic level ( or maybe he was protiped by Management )

https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/863115

i was claiming to put Kapanen and Johnsson to the minimum of NHL ( a bit harsh i know, was completelly bombarded by ppl ) so they wont florish to much cause they will be signing after this season

Both are in 4th line with Lindholm and already signed Hyman and Brown with Kadri in 3rd....signing of Nylander is kicking Leivo to be 5th wheel again...

for 2019/2020 I have Kapanen with Hyman's 2,25 M and Johnsson with Brown's 2,1 M both on two years bridge

The thing is even in a magic land where Ennis brings you a 2nd, he is the type of player we would want to ADD at the deadline, so why the hell trade him? We wont. Its a hard transition for some people to realize we are actually good now and we are buyers

Good lineup. I think this is the one they should go with too. Would not mind seeing Ennis and Leivo rotate.

I actually thought he said leivo, no we’re not trading Ennis if he works out. I also don’t think Laudan knows what you mean by buyers. It’s the same story as gardiner we are not going to flip him at the TDL because we need him. Ennis and gardiner are both rentals this year. If ennis does so well that we can’t afford him next year that’s certainly not a bad thing. That would mean we got well more than our 650k’s worth out of him. Good for him and good for us. Laudan seems to believe that farming people into picks is some sort of way to run a team. I believe he was also shouting trade Kadri off his soap box as well. Not realizing that kadri’s trade value is so high because he is a great player on a great contract.... you keep these player and trade off the pieces that don’t fit. If you’re rebuilding than yes by all means move pieces that will yield high returns... I do not believe that describes the leafs at this point in time.

Will be very funny to watch at the time of playoffs how you will all fall from your high horses, cause unexpirienced D's will crumble with another 28GA loss against BOS ( tho the GF-GA difference will be a bit lower tho ).

Self-proclaimed cup contending from some ppl here doesnt make you a "buyer" ( yes still in brackets ) cause if Matthews, Marner & Nylander will push for more money that we are giving them here in our whishfull thinking, many more will turn out as rentals an depth will fell apart.....#Leivo, Carrick, Johnsson, Kapanen, Ennis, Gardiner, Lindholm, Ozhiganov, Rosen, Borgman ( yes, RFAs but going to SHL or KHL if not payed properly ) and those will just walk away same as Bozak and JVR without bring you anything...and here goes your "buyer" status
