Description
Pavelec trade us due to the fact that the prospects are pushing him out.

Edmonton trade is a trade to fill gaps. Edmonton needs a solid RHD and some truculence in their lineup. Winnipeg can use another top 6 forward to help out the struggling power play.

Minnesota will be tight against the cap and getting two prospects with years left on their entry level deals will give them the flexibility to work with the rest of their roster needs. One defenceman was also exposed to a potential expansion draft.

Still keeps Jets well below the cap with a more competitive team on the ice.

      Like the Oiler and Cane trades....Good for all teams. Think Minni would get more for Dumba. Dullard you have the pulse on the Jets....what direction do you think they should go with their first 3 picks in the draft?

      Jets have a deep prospect pool already. I think that allows them to follow the same path they took last year which is best player available. All things being equal, they would likely be happy to leave the draft with a LHD and a RW with two of their first three picks.

      Prospect Depth Grades - Entry level deals and younger

      LW - Ehlers, Connor, Petan (that's where the Jets have been using him) and Lemieux - A
      C - Scheifele, Lowry, Copp, Roslovic, Harkens, De Leo - B

      My borderline take. If the Jets pick 6th or 7th, I think they would be very happy to see Chychrun fall to them. Big LHD to replace Enstrom's minutes in two years.

      Not sure how much more the Jets would pay for Dumba. Petan and Reinhart certainly could fill useful roles on the Jets moving forward.
