Ok...... First I'll start by saying that I'm glad you are not the GM of the Boston Bruins. This is pretty rough all around.
Winnipeg doesn't touch that deal. Did you know they just resigned Buff? He's part of their plan, not someone they are going to be trading, and especially for a package like that. Defensemen that the Jets may move are Myers, Trouba, and Enstrom. You want the first two, you'll have to give up a good package for. Enstrom may be the most available of them (doesn't help the Bruins for what he brings) but he'd still cost a decent amount.
Now, your free agency spending is putrid. Dale Weise at 2.5 per for 4 years? No thank you. He's progressed and made himself into a pretty solid bottom 6 forward, but I don't want him anywhere near the Bruins at that price. Next we have Goligoski. Will be overpaid come FA (he'll get more than 5 million on the market) and the Bruins should be spending their money elsewhere. He's 30 years old and has a small build for a defenseman. He's bound to start breaking down eventually. Now you grossly overpaid for Liles. He was alright for the Bruins but he's older and not strong in his end. Definitely not worth 4.5 million per for 3 more years (as a #5). No more Connolly please, especially for 3 years. Everyone you signed is too long of contracts.
Just lazy thought put into this one. I'd honestly give it less than 1 star if possible....
