I don't see the upside for the Caps here to be honest. They already have a logjam of potential d-men on much cheaper contracts down in the AHL who will compete for that spot. Even if Bowey theoretically is moved out they've still got guys like Hobbs, Siegenthaler, Johansson, Williams, Alexeyev, Fehervary, Ness, Lewington and at the very least another half a dozen guys who could potentially grab that spot on the bottom pair at a fraction of the cost Faulk commands. Caps defensive prospect pool is extremely deep. I don't see a deal here. Wouldn't be opposed to trading Bowey for an equal value forward prospect though. Forward prospects are the Caps foremost and IMO only weakness.
