Description
I see in almost all of the posts including Carolina Sebastian Aho as a C, guys.. he is not NHL centerman. In every other league he wouldve been C, but in NHL he is not a Cman. Dont waste him there. He is great playmaker who wants to have puck most of the time so wasting him at C with much tougher defensive responsibilities is pure BS. First of all, he would not get the opportunity to play with the puck that often, second of all, he would be needed to be 1st guy in his own zone helping D. He is much better and more useful as a winger and having guy like RNH who WOULD (for me its sure thing) break through immidiately after the trade from EDM just like Eberle and Hall would be great for him since RNH has underrated defensive capabilities.

Also, from other post, I like the idea of splitting TT and AHO since both of them are playmakers so its not that bad of an idea having snipers with them and both Svechnikov and Necas are goalscorers..

I can tell you don't watch the Canes very much. As a lifelong Canes fan and season ticket holder, I can safely say you are wrong about Aho playing center. He was the BEST center we had on our team the last 2 months of the season when Billy Peters finally let him play there. The organization has been saying for 3 straight years "we view him as a center in this league" and have already said he will get he first shot at 1C this season.

OH not to mention he anchored the top line for Finland as 1C in IIHF and finnished (pun intended) with 18 points in 8 games, to lead the entire tourny. He also has played center his entire career minus the last two years while he transitioned to the NHL. He is ready now.

Your point about him lacking defensive ability against top lines is also just plain wrong, I have no idea where you got that from.

And why in the ever living hell would we split up Aho/TT. They easily have the BEST chemistry of two forwards we have had in a Canes uniform in many years. They compliment eachother extremely well and make each better on the ice. There is a less than zero percent chance Teravaho is broken up this year.

I understand these are your opinions and you are entitled to them, I dont mean any offense but your analysis seems to be misguided.

Aho IS our 1C of the future and he will play there the whole year coming up, you can count on that.

I respect your opinion, but I think he would not be so efficient as C.. (ehm.. IIHF WCs are completely different than NHL) and he should not be rushed to that position, but as I say with each and every of my opinions, I could be completely wrong and he might be one of the better 1Cs in the league. But I have my concerns..
