Put Dahlin on the right and McCabe on the left, don't make the generational defence man play his weaker side.

All these Sabres fans see is that Dahlin is left handed. The Sabres have a huge hole at RD and Dahlin played RD. To me it's an easy fit and obvious that he'll play on the right

Exactly, play him 2RD for now behind Risto and in a year or 2 he can be a 1RD he played the right side most of the time in Sweden too so.

Hopefully that will be the lineup although I'd like to see Nelson start over Bogosian

I think all of the comments above make it clear that the Sabres need a RHD. I do not think Nelson is ready for that spot so IMO Betterall will need to make a trade. Thank you for your time of putting team together.

The lineup fills out nicely if dahlin plays RHD, but that isn't a certainty. His coaches say he plays both, but is better on the left

Also like the St.Louis connection there with Berglund, Sobotka and Thompson all on the same line.

It will be very exciting to watch this team a year from now when Pominville's contract comes off the books and the Hunwick and Bogosian contracts move one year away from UFA status. If Botterill were able to move out Bogosian's contract in a similar fashion to how he acquired Sheary by taking on Hunwick, then he would be in an excellent position going forward.
