I hate the leafs but that trade is absolutely robbing them.

That may be the worst trade I’ve seen on here that isn’t a joke.

Bailey = Marner. Marner is younger but Bailey has chemistry with Tavares. As far as Gardiner...Leaf fans do nothing but complain how bad Gardiner is, now you are trying to tell me he is freakin Bobby Orr!

I like gardiner but he is going to have leave. Bailey does not even come close to Marner. Please go look at his stats from the ohl and his first 2 seasons in the nhl then please give your head a shake. Players develop and mature. If you think Marner has peaked you know nothing about hockey.

Bailey had 71 points last year
Marner had 69 points last year.

What happened in the OHL doesn't matter. Yes Marner will be a 80 point guy in the NHL but the Leafs are tryin to win the cup now not 2-3 years from now. Bailey is 28 and in his prime ready to win. Also Toronto has to start thinking about paying other players. Bailey is set at 5 mil per year for 5 more years. After what Stone just got Marner is going to get around 8 - 8.5 mil per year.

No leafs are building for long term. Literally everything you just said makes no sense whatsoever.

Building for the future! Then why did you sign Tavares who will be 29 in September and only have about 3-4 good years left in his career!

the Stone trade is not fair value, take out OTT 2nd and add Kerfoot and its fair.

First of all he turns 28 in September I would also argue that he has 7 years of high caliber hockey. You just don’t understand hockey. We are not going to trade Marner for bailey. The two are not comparable at all. Try watching hockey maybe even playing hockey and not just checking stats from the previous season when looking for comparables.

YES you are right...Marner is the next Gretzky and Bailey is a terrible player Stop drinking the blue kool-aid and take off the blue and white glasses and see the real world and stop overrating the maple leaf players and underrating other team players. I dropped the trade.

Marner’s value being more than Bailey’s doesn’t make him Gretzky. I don’t really care whether you left the trade up or not. The whole point is to throw out ideas and discuss/argue them.
