Wanna send Howard and his salary to the Leafs (or any team) better put Larkin in the package.

ignore palhal..hes just a wings hater who thinks all wings players are pathetic..hes clueless period..howard isnt elite but is a good solid starting goalie who when playing well is a borderline all star..he DOES have TRADE VALUE...there are some teams that would eat the whole salary while admitedly only a couple ...but in a trade if salary is retained the value goes up alot more..do yourself a favor and dont listen to him hes just a frustrated leafs fan ...you want true info follow insiders (twitter etc) of TSN/Sportsnet etc..they know the REAL STORY on players, trades, rumors, player value comparisons etc. ..Follow those with TRUE hockey knowledge and you'll get the real deal..if youre a redwings fan ..follow and read up on www.kuklaskorner.com,-- mlive.com..wingingitinmotown blog..they know the team, management and prospects well in GR,Toledo and potential signees..all the best to ya

Palhal has a point, the leafs just got rid of three expensive long term contracts in kessel, clarkson and phaneuf, why would they even want to take on Howard's cap hit? They would probably just ride out the year with Bernier and Sparks, Bernier did show improvement to the end of the year so he might have a good season next year. Bernier is younger, has a smaller cap hit, and his contract comes off the books at the end of next season, no point for them to get an overpaid goalie on the wrong side of thirty, ESPECIALLY at the cost of Nazem Kadri who they really like. I mean they just signed him to a 6 year deal at a very team friendly contract, I don't see him getting traded unless another team would straight out overpay for him.
