Also on the low side. Carrick a a regular and you expect him to take a 30% cut in pay, Sandin a Leaf next year?

U can swap 7th defenseman w any Marlie who makes under 1M
(Rosen borgman marincin)
Carrack will depend on this yr
Didn't play much last year

Truth is leafs D will have to come from within
the following year when Marleaus 6 comes off, you gotta think dermott gets a couple. Not much leftover but better off
There won't be any signings or trades for a top 4 D without sacrificing

Ozhiganov will be on the right side Rosen on the left depending on development of course. I have a feeling they will be moving carrick out if and when ozhiganov or Holl prove they are ready. Plenty of other young D in a very good development program.

The last I’ve heard is that Matthews, Marner and Nylander signings will all be announced in August of this year. Matthews and Marner are willing to take a bit less to win some cups. A bit less than what I’m not sure... heard everything from 10-12m for Matthews and 7-10m for Marner. Every fan of other teams seems to think we can’t sign our rfa’s after their elc’s. I’m thinking 10 for Mathews 7.5 for Marner and 6.5-7 for nylander...haven’t heard anything about him willing to take even a slight pay cut.

I actually find it so funny that some fans don’t realize that GMs and everyone around them literally get paid to figure this stuff out ? they know exactly what they have to do and who they’ll have to move to make it happen. Especially when you’re talking about a team like the leafs where money isn’t an issue at all lol no doubt in my mind they will get them all signed.

Jamiepo is correct the Leafs can sign their upcoming RFAs. It's just a question of whether they Leafs can have a competent defence which is fairly young and cheap. Leafs certainly have the numbers to fill the NHL spots, it's just if the players.....Borgman, Holl, Ozhignokov, Rosen, Carrick are NHL good. The other five for this year look fine....Reilly, Gardiner, Dermot, Zaitsev, Hainsey. And as suggested the Leafs Dmen in the future have potential their 2017, 2018 1st and 2nd round picks.....Liljegren, Rasmenun, Sandin, Durzi.

I like the team and I like Brown being a home town boy but if you are going to put him on the 4th line for 2.1M. That line is only going to play 5 min a game, I rather trade him for a puck and use that money to get a veteran dman that can help the kids.

I feel/hope the same goes for johnnson n grunds
I see those guys fitting in on any line
There will be injuries. Always is
