You're not giving up that number of assets to play Gallagher on the 3rd line.

Only problem is that if (big assumption, I know) Karlsson isn't traded then there's no room for Stone on the right side. Has he ever played LD? Otherwise I'd do that trade for Ottawa and I'd double do it if Karlsson is gone.

I forgot to add in a description to explain what I was thinking. Third line gets extra minutes, fourth line gets fewer, plus Gallagher gets power play time. He should be able to get as many minutes on CGY as he did in MTL

id rather keep the three young players you traded away who would combine for more points than Gallagher would and all of them have potential to reach ceilings of gallaghers level. Lazar isn't capable of being an NHL centerman.

This is true, but Jankowski is projected as CGY’s 4C and the prospects are hard pressed to make the team or rot in the AHL. Kylington is expendable because of Hanifin, Valimaki, and Anderson, and Dube will be better than Mangiapane. That’s all I’m thinking anyways.

Peters will likely play this team like it has two third lines this season because ryans line will be a good defensive and Jankowskis line will hopefully be a sneaky offensive line. he may be marked as fourth line center but that's not really the case. I would project that both lines play about the same amount of time
