A lot of people talk about offer sheeting Nylander or Marner or Matthews next season, which won't happen. The Leafs will match those contracts, unless they are insane and I don't think opposing GM's are going to be able to sell giving Nylander over 8 million which is what it'd take to for the Leafs to pass. However, if Kapanen or Johnsson have big seasons this year, they could get an offer sheet for way less. TO may have only 3-4 million to spend on those two next season so if one of them scored 25 goals, or both of them score 20, then one may be a good target to get offer sheeted.
