Description

This could be a win for both clubs.

FLA gets a PPG winger locked up to play with the other young studs, making this team even better.

CLB gets value for a guy that's planning on leaving anyway. A 1st and a D prospect help stock the cupboard a bit, while Hoffman (whose value is still at an all-time low) can help replace some of the current offense lost in shipping out Panarin. If he can just play and not be a distraction, the Jackets have him for at least two years and he might be open to extending there as well.

The Jackets could start their own reality show based off it. It would be amazeballs. But seriously, as long as Hoffman stayed on Torts' good side and there was no off-ice distraction, this deal could work.

While I think the deal makes sense money wise, I don't think the Panthers are willing to trade a piece they value as much as they like hoffman so soon.
