I disagree with you on Rask. His ceiling is that of a 2C and would be MTL’s best center. He has term and trading him for a 3RW and a dump in Benn is worth a 2Rd pick.

Also, I think many fans over value draft picks. A 2Rd pick only has a 50/50 chance of playing in the NHL and a bottom half 1Rd pick only has a 50/50 chance of playing 100 career games. Rutta has already proven that he’s a solid NHL’r, so I don’t know,if I’d classify that as a reach.

Heard that Carolina said that Brandon Saad needed to be included in any deal for Justin Faulk, Or a Justin Faulk to Carolina isn't happening.

CHI would laugh at that trade. Getting Schmaltz and a first rounder..I mean don't get me wrong, as a Canes fan that would be great but that trade has no chance of happening. Especially just for a year of Skinner. Canes have to include some of their high level prospects just to get that deal going (Necas, Bean, etc.), which I don't think they would or should do.
