You may be right. It's not really problem (if true) trading good players for value to fill a position of need. Just don't have too much money tied up in bad contracts.

the leafs are not trading for Subban. they can trade for someone much cheaper and will be more of a defensive backstop to play with the Leafs offensive D-Men. And that Byron Trade does not help anyone .
