Description

I took the assumption that Copley has a decent NHL season as a backup, but if he just isn't cut out for NHL play, a UFA backup would work.

Bowey is on his second year of a 2 year - 2.1 mil contract.

Tom Wilson is signed the this offseason to a 6 year - 24.6 mil (4.1 per year).

Burakovsky gets a 6 year - 4.25 mil per year contract, assuming he rebounds this year with a ~45 point season.

Connolly trade happens since the caps are in a bind with roster spots at forward. Barber seems ready, Gersich needs playing time, as well as DSP and Walker should get another shot in the NHL.

I think you're going to see Samsonov make the leap to NHL backup after a year in Hershey, assuming all goes well. We'll want to see him take some NHL minutes because we'll need to think about what we're doing with Holtby, considering 19-20 is his last year on his current contract.
