I think he's just doing the Galchenyuk-Domi exchange to make the other move as if the Domi deal never happened.

That being said, I think CHI would rather take the risk on Schmaltz and see where he develops to than flip him out the door for Chucky.

Domi has played 3 seasons and shown a lot of promise on a **** team like ARZ .
inject his Spark Plug Style into a team like MTL and expect Fire !
Domi like Gallagher will become a fan favorite in MTL

Schmaltz>Domi and he's younger. Schmaltz is doing well as 2C despite his poor face off percentage. He's fast with a good 200 foot game. Best of all, he's cheaper than both Galchenyuk and Domi.
