Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

So this is what I would like to see. YES, Stamkos is awesome and would sell tons of Jerseys in time for the new stadium. However, too many contracts are ending this season and that money from Datsyuk's and Franzen's wasted space could come in handy somewhere else. There are other things I would like to see happen, but I am fighting my own wants with what Ken Holland and the "loyal" Red Wings would do. I wish Ericsson's and Smith's CAP space was available, that's why I would go after Yandle. Add another O-D to the lineup for a sick powerplay. Because of a bone head signing of Ericsson, Dekeyser easily gets the same pay (if not a little more) and Marchenko will get a "full time" pay. Your stuck with Howard and no one knows what Mrazek is thinking, hell I would leave for a starting role, depending on how the RFA plays out. But my belief here is we sign Mrazek for 1 year longer then Howard has left so you are protected. We now have 2 capable starters for the price of Luongo or Lundqvist. Finally Forwards, lots of holes and wishful thinking on my part. The Wings NEVER have a player at the top of the league in points. The last Wing to have an 80+ point season was Zetterberg in 2010-11. The same year a guy by the name of Joey McDonald was leading our team in GAA. Stamkos would change that, but I don't see it happening. Instead, I see Holland doing the usual "role" players. Fill in the spot with someone who fits the team. Hopefully not with bums at the end of their careers... I would think options like Okposo and Loui Eriksson are good additions. They wont break the bank would still put up 50-60 point seasons. We need that with Datsyuk leaving. Franzen's contract is a killer, move it or just force him to retire. Blashill likes his young guys, so two young lines (3&4). Then two lines to lead the way (1&2). The team would fall flat if we only looked to take on young players and "rebuild". We need some leadership on the front 6. Zetterberg and Abdelkader seem to be the two to lean on. Tatar and Nyquist are on and off players. Helm will come back with a decent contract. I don't see him leaving for Hudler money, he seems to like Detroit and his teammates. The additions bring the experience needed to keep the young kids level headed.

Lastly, if room, I would love to see Zatkoff and Oleksy come home and play for Detroit. Just tossing that one out there.
